Most superhero TV series and movies are often based on comic books… but not Heroes.
Created by Tim Kring, Heroes debuted on television with high ratings. The Emmy-nominated show is rich in drama, action and plot that has been delivered comic book style but without the chessy-ness. Though the concept of Heroes is straight to the point but its plot is truly intricate and absolutely hooking.
Regular individuals from different part of the world discover that they have superhero-type of abilities: a cheerleader can heal herself from any type of injury, a Japanese guy has the ability to stop time and teleport, a painter can see the future and a US politician has the ability to fly while his brother can copy other’s powers.
Each episode uncovers more individuals with different powers in different locations. But little do they know that, one way or the other, they are all connected with one another. These individuals had to deal with their own personal problems as well as avoid being killed by a powerful villain who also absorbs their powers.
The Heroes – Season One DVD comes in 7 discs. This includes cast commentaries, deleted scenes as well as the lengthy and thrilling pilot episode.
